Lindsey Vonn Stuns in Thom Browne at 2024 Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony

Lindsey Vonn made a stylish statement at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics on Friday, opting for an American luxury designer for the occasion. The former alpine skier dazzled in a navy Thom Browne suit, complemented by a crisp white button-down shirt and the designer’s signature Hector dog bag.

Throughout her Olympic career, Vonn competed in four Winter Games and secured three medals, including a gold in Vancouver in 2010.

Thom Browne also made an impression elsewhere at the ceremony. Ariana Grande attended in a sleeveless pink ankle-length dress from the designer, featuring a bow detail at the waist. The pink dress was a subtle nod to her character Galinda Upland, also known as Glinda, from her role in “Wicked.”

The opening ceremony, directed by French actor and stage director Thomas Jolly, took place along the Seine River. The event showcased a grand parade of athletes from 206 national Olympic committees traveling on nearly 100 boats, passing iconic Parisian landmarks like Notre Dame, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower.

The ceremony was attended by several high-profile guests, including U.S. First Lady Jill Biden, Chrissy Teigen, Nina Dobrev, and Serena Williams.

The 2024 Paris Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad, will run through August 11. This year’s Games mark a century since Paris last hosted the Olympics in 1924.
